If you are planning to explore the island, best plan ahead and take everything you will need from the lodge; there are few pit stops to buy food and drinks, apart from the absolute basics. We can provide sandwiches and you can usually buy excellent fruits on the road. At present Pemba is an Eden, practically hardly any tourism and commerce. Come and visit whilst the beauty is undeveloped, we hope it remains like that for a long time.
Exploring Pemba by road can be a full days driving to lots of villages, forests, and amazing deserted beaches. You can decide to drive around all day, or just make it to one part of the island for a half day. Pemba has few roads, and many of the interesting locations need to be reached on dirt roads. We will provide you a vehicle, a driver, lots of advice, and off you go.
